Get ready for our big Summer Kick-Off on Friday, J Get ready for our big Summer Kick-Off on Friday, June 2! There will be live music provided by Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations, free Mike and Ice snow cones courtesy of the library, and lawn games for the whole family. To wrap up the evening we will have our Adult’s Night Out Movie showing in the library starting at 7 pm—with free popcorn, of course. We are extremely thrilled to have a band like Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations here to perform major hits from the 1950s and 1960s, at the library. Starting that same day, you will also have the chance to register for our summer reading program. Read all summer long for the chance to win fabulous prizes!

Thursday, June 1st is the next Great Bend Silver S Thursday, June 1st is the next Great Bend Silver Screen Society meeting at 7 PM. This month we will be watching a 1964 western classic staring the man himself Clint Eastwood. This film is the original spaghetti western that started the genre, which exploded in popularity giving us some of the best westerns of all time.
